Lengau People’s Society – Member Agreement

Please read and sign the agreement to finalize your membership participation.

This agreement is about membership. It is not a donation form, not a product purchase, not a loan or credit agreement, and not an optional paid-service contract. Those arrangements, if they arise, must be documented separately. Membership does not guarantee wealth, profit or a particular financial outcome unless a separate lawful contract says so.

See also Donation & Voluntary Contribution Policy, Terms, Privacy and Complaints.

Membership contribution

Amounts due because you are a member, as set in approved membership terms — not a donation.

Donation

Must be genuinely voluntary. Never a disguised compulsory fee.

Purchase

Payment for goods such as Lengau Maize Meal — a sale, not membership.

Loan / credit

Only where a credit agreement applies. This membership form is not a credit contract.

Optional service

A separately chosen paid service, disclosed as such.

Other payment

Any other amount must be labelled clearly so it is not confused with the categories above.

Members may expect respectful treatment, accurate information, privacy handling under POPIA, and access to complaints. Members must provide truthful details, keep contact information current, communicate in good faith, and follow governing documents. Membership may end in accordance with the constitution, this agreement and applicable law. Product, maize meal, marketplace and credit terms apply only to those transactions. Dispute resolution starts with Complaints; South African law is not excluded.

I acknowledge that Lengau People’s Society is a contribution-based community financial society rooted in unity, discipline, and collective financial support.

I understand and agree that:

  • The Society is not a bank, not an investment scheme, and does not provide giveaways
  • All benefits are earned through contributions, participation, and qualification
  • I will contribute consistently according to my selected tier
  • I will respect all members, leadership, and governance structures
  • I will not engage in gossip, misinformation, or undermining behavior
  • I will uphold transparency, accountability, and ethical conduct
  • I understand that only qualifying Gold and Elite members may be considered for major opportunities, subject to affordability assessment
  • I understand and agree that upon receiving surplus from any lending activity, I am required to allocate 5% of the principal amount to my member contribution and 1% to Lengau Social Responsibility
  • I agree to abide by the Constitution and all Society rules

I commit to contributing positively to the growth and integrity of Lengau People’s Society.
