Complaints & Dispute Resolution
Lengau People’s Society promotes fairness, respect and accountability. Members and consumers may raise concerns through this system. Submitting a complaint does not promise a particular outcome before investigation. Applicable South African law takes precedence.
Formal process
SUBMIT → ACKNOWLEDGE → ASSESS → INVESTIGATE → RESPOND → ESCALATE → CLOSE → RECORD
- Submit: use the form below, Contact, or +27 60 709 4406.
- Acknowledge: the organisation should acknowledge receipt through a reasonable channel. This page does not promise a fixed number of hours or days.
- Assess: classify the matter and identify the responsible department or person.
- Investigate: gather relevant facts. Conflicts of interest should be managed so the investigator is not the subject of the complaint where practical.
- Respond: communicate the outcome that can lawfully be shared.
- Escalate: if unresolved, escalate internally or to an external body where the law provides (for example consumer or credit authorities).
- Close and record: keep a record of the complaint and how it was handled.
Complaint categories
Categories may include member disputes, leadership or portfolio issues, financial concerns, product or service quality, pricing or information concerns, misinformation, and other matters. Serious suspected wrongdoing may also be raised under Speak-Up & Protected Reporting.
A person who raises a genuine concern in good faith must not be punished merely for raising it. Confidentiality will be respected as far as practical; absolute secrecy cannot always be guaranteed where investigation or law requires disclosure.
