Document Control & Policies
Website pages in the Legal & Compliance section are organisational information instruments. They must be read with Lengau People's Society's constitutional and founding documents, contracts, approved policies and applicable South African law.
Where there is a conflict, applicable law and formally adopted governing instruments take precedence. Formal legal review and board or other adoption processes should be completed before presenting a document as legally binding.
These documents do not, by themselves, create legal rights or obligations unless and until they are adopted as required. They never override South African law.
Status labels
Each formal policy page should show Document Owner, Approval Authority, Effective Date, Version, Last Reviewed, Next Review Date and Status. Status may be Proposed, Approved or Under Review.
A policy is not marked Approved on this website unless Lengau has actually approved it through the appropriate governance process. Publication on the website is not, by itself, board adoption.
